Bude Men 1 - Camborne SoM 5 17/11/2018

Bude slipped to another disappointing defeat at home to Cambourne this week; another reshuffled pack got off to another poor start as Cambourne took the lead early on as Bude were un-able to clear their lines effectively. A fairly even affair then ensued as neither side could stamp their authority on the game and as the half wore on chances were few and far between for both teams so the score remained finely poised at 0-1. If Bude felt their first goal was conceded early then the second and third goals were given up even quicker into the second half as Cambourne came out firing on all cyclinders. A fourth followed midway through as Bude were just unable to retain meaningful possession despite their best efforts. This made the game an impossible situation for Bude but they battled on bravely and were given the tiniest glimmer of hope as Charlie Falla bundled the ball home from close range but it was short lived as Camboure completed the rout with 10 minutes to go. Man of the match Dan Jourdain worked tirelessly in defence ably assisted by his right hand man Steve McLellan who helped to keep the score down to a respectable level as Camboure's attack seemed relentess at times. They face another tough game away to local rivals Bodmin next week.
