Bude hosted Bodmin in their penultimate home game of the season and with a positive view on the game they began with some great attacking hockey however they were caught on the break with Bodmin getting a goal around 10 minutes into the game. Around 2 minutes later Charlie falla found himself at the back post and neatly finished a rebound to make it a goal every game he has played so far this season. A similar affair happened shortly after as Bodmin found a second goal and within a few minutes Bude struck right back as Kristof Saunders hit a reverse shot from the edge of the D to bring the scores level. Bude could not repeat the feat as they surrendered the lead yet again as Bodmin scored their third a little too easily for Bude’s liking. The second half was an open end to end affair with both teams gunning for the win, Bodmin delivered the telling shots as they found another 2 goals making it 5 -2. Bude pushed on until the end and were rewarded when Tom Hall knicked one back for the home side and then not long after Noah Reeve also scored a neat finish to make it a nervous finish. Bude were pushing for the late equaliser but were unable to find it and even with a short corner on the final whistle they saw Tom Fry’s direct drag flick well saved by the Bodmin keeper to ensure the result and all three points went his sides way.
